Duties and Responsibilities:
Function as the primary assistant to the Program Security Officer (PSO). Perform Personnel, Physical, and Information Security duties for a government program office and assist in implementation and interpretation of program security policies. Provide TS/SCI security administration on a broad range of program support actions. Implement security processes necessary to protect classified information, with strict adherence to NISPOM, JAFAN and other applicable DoD regulations. Update and maintain personnel security databases. Accomplish transmission, receipt, distribution, storage and accountability of a large number of classified documents. Operate and maintain a document control system and conduct annual inventories. Operate secure communications equipment. Coordinate and work directly with the government customer and government support offices, building management staff, and host security/facility managers for all facility related issues, special events, and operating procedures. Review Personnel Access Requests. Conduct security briefings and debriefings. Assist with visitor reception, control, and escort. Transmit and receive visitor certifications. Control visitor access to the facility. Utilize Personnel Security Databases such as JPAS, DCII, and SII. Understand JAFAN 6/0 and 6/4 requirements for personnel security.
Education:
College degree and/or military experience preferred but not required. A combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted for the degree.
Necessary Background:
Five to eight years experience preferred. Candidate must have the ability to work in a high tempo environment and manage work under pressure. Candidate must be accustomed to working in a controlled environment with change and security policies consistent with government/enterprise. Candidate must have demonstrated customer support, interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Security Clearance:
Must have or be able to obtain a USG TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance
