Duties and Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to, technical responsibility for implementation and management of network services, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance in support of a mid-size to large LAN/WAN enterprise environment.
Necessary Background:
Minimum of three years of experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and software products, to include routers, switches, firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems. Familiar with network diagramming tools and network monitoring tools. Excellent organizational, inter-personal and customer support skills. Possess the ability to work in a constantly changing and fast paced environment. Knowledge of network security tools and techniques is highly desirable.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or an Associates degree with a technical certification. A combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities may be substituted for the degree.
Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain a USG Secret security clearance.
Competitive Edge Qualifications:
Microsoft Certification MCSE/MCSA, Cisco certification CCNA/CCNP, extensive prior direct experience, current USG security clearance. Demonstrated outstanding customer support, interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills through awards and special recognition.
