Position: Systems Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems in a Windows Server 2003/2000 active directory enabled, Exchange enterprise environment. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning. May supervise others performing system administrative activities.

Necessary Background:
This position requires a minimum of three years experience in network operating systems administration. General experience includes operations experience on a large-scale computer system and/or a multi-server local area network and some supervisory experience. Possesses extensive experience in configuring Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems in and Active Directory enabled environment. Must have working knowledge of Exchange, Internet Information Server (IIS), SharePoint (MOSS) and Oracle/SQL Server.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or an Associates degree with a technical certification. A combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities may be substituted for the degree.

Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain a USG Secret security clearance.

Competitive Edge Qualifications:
Microsoft Certification MCSE+Exchange/MCSA, Cisco certification CCNA/CCNP, extensive prior direct experience, current USG security clearance. Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills through awards and special recognition.
