Department of Homeland Security

BAI developed and support a comprehensive arms control compliance and implementation program for the Department of Homeland Security, Directorate of Science and Technology (S&T), Office of Research and Development. BAI provides specialized technical, management, and programmatic expertise in providing technical assistance and treaty awareness to all relevant Components to support this endeavor. The program impacts all programs affected by detection and involves liaison with various intelligence elements. Additionally, BAI provides regulatory oversight program assistance to ensure that the DHS research and development (R&D) activities are conducted in compliance with all applicable Federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.

BAI also has extensive experience providing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Help Desk services to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). BAI’s projects and tasks span the full range of enterprise networking, hardware and software from both legacy and new applications, emerging technologies, peripherals and supporting devices, an array of utilities and services, as well as project management tools and methodologies. On-site personnel deliver network management and administration in Georgia and Maryland and remotely to sites in New Mexico and South Carolina. BAI provides large-scale systems deployment and upgrades, inventory control, configuration management, automated security patch deployment, on-line collaboration, and document management. BAI provides troubleshooting of data communications equipment and circuits to ensure compliance with the Department of Homeland Security IT policies. BAI personnel also provide consultation in the deployment and implementation of new technologies such as Enhanced Virtual Private Network (VPN).
